Department of Sports Management

 

 

Introduction

The Department of Sports Management was established in 2006,which belongs to the College of Recreation & Health Management ( CR&HM). The Department of Sports Management was set up in accordance with the change of modern social environment, while sports industry and health promotion have become the trend of 21th century. We aim to nurture professional talents of sports management and marketing, sports technical direction and sports health promotion and guidance. The graduates of the Department can be recruited in sports-related industries including sports health management, sports instructor, sports health promotion management.

 

Department Features

The Department plans professional curriculum of sports management and marketing, sports technical direction and sports health promotion, students can be recruited after they graduate through the scheme of academia-industry cooperation, we have instructors from workplaces and students have practicum opportunities in firms which can enhance their practical experiences. Graduates can take positions in: fitness center as a coach, a lifeguard or swimming coach, a health fitness inspector or a coach, an international diving coach, a bike mechanical repairer, a baseball coach for CPBL. Sports Administration of MOE (Ministry of Education) , has promoted a plan in improving citizen exercise environment in recent years,which plans to build civil sports center in metropolitan areas, it means there is an urgent need for professional talents of sports.
